Hi, I'm Zoe Hyde! I'm an illustrator and designer from Brookline, Massachusetts with a passion for playful graphics.
I am currently a Marketing Specialist at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, MA. There, I design various marketing materials, both digital and printed, and run social media. I am increasingly interested in design specifically for websites and apps, and have completed the User Experience Design course online at General Assembly, Boston. I loved it, and hope to take another similar track this coming fall and winter.
Previously, I worked as Promotions Manager for the award-winning independent bookshop, Brookline Booksmith, where I developed, marketed, and coordinated special events for best-selling authors and artists including Amy Poehler, John Waters, Molly Ringwald, and Mindy Kaling. In this capacity, I have presented at the Coolidge Corner and Wilbur Theaters in Boston and my events have been featured in The Boston Globe, Publisher's Weekly, and The Phoenix, as well as on WBUR and C-Span.
I'm a graduate from the University of Massachusetts Boston with a degree in English Literature. I also studied film and video at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and I currently live with my fiance and our cat, Bear, in Southbridge, Massachusetts. In my spare time, I enjoy writing, art-making, stand-up comedy, and indulging in totally serious, no frills pop culture criticism.
For example, for the past year I have run a biweekly podcast with my best friend called
Run and Stumble. Each roughly hour-long episode contains a critique of one horror movie. I did all the design work for Run and Stumble, and at over 30 episodes, I'm pretty proud of the shower overall, considering I had no audio experience previously.
I am currently open for comissions! For all commission and consulting requests, email firstname.lastname@example.org. I am a delight to work with, I swear.
